Rumenco Michael Peters Quaich 2020

The Rumenco Michael Peters Quaich is awarded by the North Country Cheviot Sheep Society each year to a member who is considered to have worked for the benefit of the Society & Promotion of the breed & this year's recipient is Rod Mckenzie, Muirton. Rod has been Society president twice (1999/2000 & 2014/2016) & has been involved with the breed for more than 40 years with his Muirton flock based at Munlochy in Ross-shire, during this time he has welcomed many new, young & aspiring breeders to the Society, always offering advice if its wanted. Rod is regularly seen at the Shows & Sales, taking an interest in both the Park & Hill type & has spoken out about the benefits of the Cheviot on many occasions. Congratulations Rod - A deserving winner of this prestigious award.
